You were correct Richard. When I tried the format code you offered I had left the comma out of the code and got an error I tried Console.Write("{0-19}", deck1.DealCard()); instead of Console.Write("{0,-19}", deck1.DealCard()); All is working find now thanks. Brian

I am using a laptop that I purchased in 2012 with intel core i5 16 GB Ram and have not experienced any issues with VS 2019 with respect to memory or disk. I think what you are building within the Visual Studio could cause issues, but not necessarily by IDE.

Yes, punched cards, paper tape, and programming by buttons on the front panel of the processor. I knew nothing about computers when I started my first job, but worked with a guy who taught me the basics. I only learned C# and .NET after I had retired, and there is still much I don't know about it.
