If you require prog.exe to be started with a parameter, you'll foil all double click attempts. For instance, "prog.exe" just terminates, but "prog.exe /run" makes it run. -- 100% natural. No superstitious additives.

I would not say that I made assumptions; I think my intent was to clarify the question; in other words, I did not want to make assumptions. I have seen many times vague questions becoming huge discussions when the person asking the question does not clarify the question. So I agree that people should not assume.

I believe a page is just another dialog with its child property set to TRUE. If you just want to add a child to the main dialog, then create the child using Create(IDD_DIALOG1, this); and ShowWindow(SW_SHOW); Of course without title bar and border. Then position the dialog to any position you like on the parent using MoveWindow(), or SetWindowPos(). this is this.

For a conventional (not .NET) application, that uses .RC files and a resource.h file, the most reliable approach is the following: 1. Open both resource.h files in the source file editor. 2. Use the "Open With" option in the File Open command to open both .RC files in the source file editor. 3. Use copy/paste to copy the dialog from one .RC file to the other. 4. Copy the resource ID's for the dialog and its controls from one resource.h to the other. 5. Note that you may have to manually renumber the ID's for the dialog, if they conflict with other ID's already in use. Unfortunately, I don't do .NET programming, so I don't know the procedure there.
