This is the first time I take time to reply to a post here. I have been reading codeproject for a number of years, ever since some articles of me got moved over here from codeguru. Let me first point out that I hardly think a thread like this belongs here. Theres enough usenet groups that go wild with these sad events the last days. Secondly, I happen to live in a part of Europe (Belgium, Flanders) that has seen millions of dead in the last century. World war one cost my country 5% of its population. The city I live in (even my house) has been destroyed to its fundaments 2 times now. History now repeats itself in the US (for the first time in 200 years) and by all gods, I wished it had never happened. But it did. And although the lunatics choose the US as a target, it could have been 15 miles from here, at NATO headquarters. This event shocked the whole world, every religion and race to its core. The resulting actions and events will influence the whole of mankind. I for one left the Boston airport this week flying back, and could have been in one of the planes. I have been in the towers a few months back. We all understand the pain of the people in the US. Please, do not make it a nationalistic thing by posting or spreading throll stuff like above. I donated money to the US red-cross yesterday. If I was to be still in the states (due to a faster bug fix then presumed, I got back monday instead of today) I would have gladly done anything else I could. I suppose the post is the logical step (anger) in an acceptance process. But lets channel it against the b*st*rds that did this. As said, sadly things will never be the same. Come and have a look at the F-16 that patrol the sky over here near Brussels NATO headquarters if you want to see a small example on how. Erik :rose:
