If it's an internal network and you have a domain, I would just use integrated security. To handle database access you can either impersonate a user temporarily, use a SQL server login, or give the users themselves access to the database. That prevents you from having to use a login screen but still gives you access to their identities. In case you're not on a domain, you'll have to create a login page and roles and manage all of that. There should be plenty of examples out there on how to do that.

Check the spelling of the URL. Both the URLs look like they are misspelled. If it's misspelled on the server, you have to use the same spelling when accessing it. --- Year happy = new Year(2007);

A good way -that works for me- is to use a BindingSource and bind it to your controls using cbo1.DataBindings.Add() method. It works fine fr the Text property -but not with CheckBox.Checked property BTW-. The time is being taken up by the database retrieval. One way to get around this problem is to make the database retrieval run on a different thread to the load and then display the data in the main UI when it has finished. The visual style for all of the .NET frameworks is what the machine is currently using. With XP for example, their are 3 visual styles: luna, metallic, and homestead. All of the .NET frameworks (as long as the code or manifest files are provided in the application) will use the visual style specified. The main differences in the UI between .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 would have to be the new ToolStrip, MenuStrip, and ContextStrip which are still dependent on the visual style (if render property is system defined). The strips which have replaced the menus and toolbars of .NET 1.x have a newer appearance that can only be used on systems with the .NET 2.0 framework installed. a solution can be like, while entering the assignment into the system, also get the questions in that assignment to store them. so when the assignment will be divided into two or three different users in percentages, get the percentage based on the number of questions and then divide the assignment according to no of questions. like of u have 10 questions in an assignment, 80% will b 8 questions and 20% will be 2 questions. so then u can assign user1, 80% of the assignment, and user2 20% of the assignment. The webservice creates a reference to each .asmx file within it. Right now I am doing a Project with the following Layout: - A Database-Layer doing O/R mapping to the Database(es). - A Business-Logic doing calculations of the data from the Database(es) - A Webservice-Layer sending this computed data to and from the Client - A Client (mixed C++/C#) formatting the data for display and collecting the users input. The Client then calls the relevant Webservices to make the user-interactions happen. The goal is to have a system that ist capable to run on one (decent) PC of being separated into front- and backend, where the backend is a big machine and the client may be an older notebook or something.. The Client calls the Webservices directly, to get fresh data or to get calculations done. I hope this helps you to decide for one architecture or another.
