Hi Stuart, Thanks for helping me in this issue. Today I resolved the issue. It has to do with security, as my application is having service which runs under "System" user name and Excel runs under other login not system, so it was not accessing excel under other login. Now I am able to access active object. Thanks once again.

I am calling many functions in single function which i have written in DoWork event of backgroundworker. I am getting exception while calling multiple functions. exception : "Cross-thread operation not valid: Control 'MainForm' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on." sorry for not giving correct info. I want to write BMP into DIB format. Later on after conversion to DIB. I got one DDL called IMGCTL.dll but while refering one function called PixelDIB , getting error: A call to PInvoke function 'Test!IMGCTL.Class1::PixelDIB' has unbalanced the stack. This is likely because the managed PInvoke signature does not match the unmanaged target signature. Hey got it. Due to the name of tab control page, alignment of controls in user control was changing. Because, I have selected the font as "verdana" & that too "bold" due to that the alignment was changing. Now it got solved after changing it to normal. I would think the simplest method would be to redraw the display without the blue highlighting rectangle. This would be the same code method that got you this point (before you selected the card). If that doesn't seem feasible, you could draw the highlighting rectangle in whatever color the background is (assuming the background isn't an image). You don't tell us what mechanism you are using to maintain the state of your game's display (so, I'm assuming that there isn't one). But, if you expect the game to get more complex, you might consider such a concept.
