i understand that bu the problem now is its not saving the data when i say da.update and ds.aceeptchanges. as when i call the da.update, it goes to da function and initialize evetything so doesnt change values in table. how to do update and acceptchanges to the table

I have solved the problem using viewstate. so i didnt use any updatepanel and ajaxtoolkit stuff. it was so simple with viewstate.

What does your code look like that you are using to create the hyperlink? You can put a Panel control on your page on the click event do something like MyPanel.Controls.Add(new LiteralControl(String.Format("{0}", strFileUploadPath)); I havent tested this yet but it should work ... let me know if this helps or not.

OK. Sorry about that.

The runtime doesn't trust the location you're running it from, because your developing it on your machine VS has probably set all the required permissions.  To run it from another PC you need to goto: Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Microsoft .NET [version (e.g. 2.0)] Configuration.  Inside the configuration pane select "Runtime Security Policy" -> Increase Assembly Trust, a wizard will popup and guide you through the steps required to allow that program to run from the network (note this can be configured on an app by app basis or for the entire machine). When you do what you stated all it does is run the program on the SERVER. You can not start an EXE on the server and expect it to run on the client. Found on Bash.org [erno] hm.
