I went for the D50 and those 2 lenses you are saying (althought it did cost almost 900€ last February :sigh:). I bought it because I already had lenses and flashes from other (non digital) Nikon SLRs. I can use the old lenses, but the flases can only be used in manual mode (you need to buy a modern flash). You can take 4 shots per second, and it only takes 0.2 seconds to switch on. And the battery is something that surprised me (it lasted a whole week of holidays in Ireland). You get more Mpixels for the same price with the Coolpix, but I preffer SLRs. It seems that Canon's digital SLRs are better, but I went for the Nikon for the reasons I told before. Hope it helped ;) Jose Antonio I. López Error! Signature can't exceed 10Gb of size!
