Something Massive Is Shifting Deep Inside the MoonOh thanks.

Something Massive Is Shifting Deep Inside the Moon...whoa, what if the 'tides' themselves are what is keeping it warm? The constant friction of all the stuff rubbing together as it tumbles.

CSS is awesome."Nonsensical nonsense" is the sort of thing CSS produces from people's brains long term, except it's more centered.
-
CSS is awesome. There were once "experts" who had it all figured out with "vapors" too. Once they took the advice to start washing their hands, they stopped killing so many people.
-
CSS is awesome.Yeah I know it and have done it. That's how I know we're doing it wrong and have been for a long time.
-
CSS is awesome.Yeah my point is really just that it's dumb to use any esoteric descriptor anything instead of just... laying out the thing and letting the machine handle whatever markup defines that. Hey y'all I can use Photoshop by script! And if I type this it makes a colored pixel!

Pet peeve du jourIt might be that they are in a lab that doesn't have outside internet connectivity or has Reddit in particular blocked. I do that wooden table sort of nonsense in similar situations where it's just easier to do that than to jump through all the hoops of shuttling a file from a PC/laptop to a cell phone (so as to use the cell's internet). There are some apps that will cut/paste between cell and PC/laptop. Not always convenient/possible though. My new favorite life hack for it is to start a draft gmail and attach the file and just leave it sitting like a temp drop box until I grab it from the other device(s).

VOIP robocalls suggestionsOr a cork.

CSS is awesome. You know what's awesome? Just dragging the stuff you want to place into place, including docking containers, and telling stuff to scale/align accordingly and never needing to screw with some esoteric second hand declaration (that quickly goes 3rd and 4th hand) of what you could just directly see and manipulate in real time even if CSS were sitting somewhere under that hood. But what bit of language sits under it doesn't matter because it's the car that matters.

Linux not as safe as it used to beYes but 50% of them are doing it to build more back doors in. :)

The GTA modders aren't happy...That's wild. I played when it first came out and I really liked the prison break and other team heists. Probably never even hit 100 hours in it though. RDR2 was really really pretty.

Investments in your work equipment/tools, what would you expect? Some would see this as a "them" problem. If you have some jank thinkpad with 4 GB of RAM and that means everything is sluggish, it's just meaning you aren't able to give them as much as you could if they enabled you to do so. I don't think it would necessarily be a function of salary but it's definitely a consideration in some ways. IDK so much I've ever had a problem where the equipment was just wholly inadequate. But I have been places and seen others where skimping on things like server resources had to cost them more than it saved. If it's gumming up the progress for multiple people because things take way too long it's just hard to see how the money to improve it isn't less than the money lost in their loss of productivity.

The GTA modders aren't happy...I'm curious if you've spent much money. I've wondered if there exists a slice of demographic between whale and cheapskate that some of these companies 'accidentally' hit the reset button on. They found that 1/2 of them will spend more again even rebuying stuff they already had so 'whoopsies' happen. I'm not sure it's more than turning a blind eye to it. The whole addition of BattleEye at this point anyway seems more driven by that sort of financial motivation than anything else. It's the same result there with cheaters getting accounts banned but buying new ones. You're just collateral damage maybe.

Does everyone agree Stack Overflow is shit? They're vastly more pedantic and just plain more rude. I argued with some CP dude because he didn't understand why/how my question was C# related. I'd still go to dinner with that dude before I'd walk through an SO meetup to use the restroom.

Does everyone agree Stack Overflow is shit?ORMS have never ever been a very good idea imo.

Does everyone agree Stack Overflow is shit?It isn't more toxic that CP/Reddit? I must just have a knack for having trolls' channel their core sphincters. :D Or maybe pedantry type things just piss me off way more than they oughta. I seriousness, I guess I haven't really been on SO in over a decade to know. Oh I'll steal their useful lines here and there, I'm just not joining the circus.
