Copyright means that the person who wrote the code has intellectual ownership of the code - it doesn't mean no one else can use it. Everyone who posts here is effectively placing their code in the Public Domain - hence it can be used. All copyright does is say "The author wrote it - don't pretend that YOU wrote it".
