I agree completely. If nothing else, it is interesting watching the world stumble around politically trying to deal with a true one world economy and what is rapidly becoming a one world civilization. How to deal with it politically? I don't know. All I do know is that I for one will have to be forced to surrender the Jeffersonian dream in exchange for what will almost certianly be nothing more than Europe's lastest, greatest version of Marxism (given a nifty new name, of course). To most Americans, Jefferson, Madison, et al, are the greatest political philosophers in history. To the rest of the world they are nothing but historic curiosities. Meanwhile, the entire cultural continuum that is western civilization is increasingly in danger of becoming a moot point, as a tidal wave of hostile societies with their own social and cultural paradigms crowd around to stake their claim as the rightful heirs of human culture. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we've got about another 20 years before bloody hell breaks loose. Wisdom from the Hippie Ages: "When you find yourself at last, Then you need not use the looking glass".
