The mear fact that a number is being displayed in the DGV makes the item you see in the DGV cell a string, no matter what the actual data type is. So, no there's no way of displayed any data in a DGV without converting it to a string, or some other custom rendered display. Go to the solution explorer, and look at the properties of the reference to the Xceed library. It should have a property called "Specific Version". Set the property to false and rebuild. If it's a custom library, then check wether the ResX is read-only. I've had some issues with the Interop-toolkit on the generation of resource-files (binary resource not checked out by sourcesafe and being readonly) Good luck :) I are troll :)

No probs. I'd highly recommend getting used to the MSDN as its very handy for checking out classes. If your using Visual Studio the intellisense can be invaluable as it can be used to see everything accessable on an object and provides comments.

i think you need to use different threads for reading and writing, so as not to try to do both simultaneously. You will probably need to use lock keyword, as well as Monitor.Pulse and Monitor.Wait methods. Try reading the help on these and have a nice day too.:) there are no facts, only interpretations
