Just dusted off my old maths booksOh, yes, I have done that. i was surprised just how much I had forgotten and just how long it is taking to get partly "back into" the Maths....however I am now 72, but that should not be a real problem. So I am very rusty in Maths and now need to keep reading for the next months to refresh. This will be necessary, since I want to read about AI/ML.

Code Samples for a Job InterviewDo not, under any circumstances, give any code for a previous employer. Doing that is asking for trouble and may even be a trick question to see if you are reliable security person. If they cannot assess your abilities from the interview ,this does not speak highly for the company you applied to. If the interview went without anyone fron the SW Dept. being present is also a bad indicator. all in all, probably a bad employer.

Do you support the concept of revenge hacking?R. Erasmus wrote:
As a side note, most definitely support it. If it wasn't for hackers politicians and large corporations will be left to their own corrupt devices, and we will be pulling at the shorted end. (already very much like that, but gives them something to think about)
I do not think hackers are stopping politicians or corporations........ Hacking is bad in any form. The above argument from Mr/Ms Erasmus is not acceptable. Just a method to try and justify it. Hackers are a nasty bug in Internet with is slowly being killed by this infection.

What backup software do you use?18.4.2017 I have used Acronis's True Image for regular weekly backup of my HDD's, and use xcopy/robocopy for backups of fast changing data to an USB Drive. Since I also use Thunderbird and Firefox I use Mozbackup (Well, I wrote a bash that does it all automatically) to backup emails etc twice a day....that was a real saver when I deleted a large chunk of my current emails. Hope this helps.
