  • Please could you support me to make download working?
    O Ondrej_Uzovic

Thank you for your response. Actually this was not my first article. So I think it can be a sporadic issue. Same as you, I had problems with images too - although they were ok in preview. The links to them were broken and I also did not see them as uploaded when I then wanted to correct the article. So I re-uploaded them again. The zip file for download was in the system (I saw it among uploaded files) but when you clicked on it in the article the download did not start. It looks my download problem is already fixed. It started to work (after several hours) so I thought maybe the administrator read this entry and fixed.

I have published a new article but the download of the source code does not work. Also it is not possible to browse the source code. It says No downloads associated with the article. When I edit the article I see the zip file is uploaded. Please could you support me? Do I need to do something differently? • Editing/updating articles causes pain
    O Ondrej_Uzovic

Setting cursor at the beginning Yes, I am using FireFox. And in my case it always sets the cursor at the beginning of the article. I can try to use a different browser the next time. <span class=...>...</span> sections I opened the existing article and I wanted to add a new comment line to the source code in the article. First I tried to do it in the wysiwyg mode but when I entered the new line and pasted the plain text the whole code section got broken. I tried undo but it did not help. So I discarded that draft and started the editing of the article again. This time I switched to editing of plain html. When I scrolled down to the source code, it was not a simple text but every line contained couple of <span class=...>...</span> sections and so it was very complicated to add the new comment. (And in addition I could not just paste it because whenever I pasted some text it set me to the beginning of the article and I had to scroll down.) Zip file replacing When I was creating the new article it was not possible to replace the file by adding the new file with the same name. I had to remove the file and add the new one. Remembering that, when I updated the article I removed the zip file and then uploaded the zip file with the same name. Now I realized, maybe this caused the problem. So, what would be the correct way to replace the file when I update some article? For completeness, this is the article. I was updating the version 2 of that article. The article was meanwhile approved, so now everything works fine. Chris, I really like the codeproject site and I appreciate all effort you put to that. Keep doing the good job!

  • Editing/updating articles causes pain
    O Ondrej_Uzovic

I do not not know what other users think, but I believe the editing/updating an article is very painful. Modifying of the "rich" html is very buggy e.g. cursor disappears ..., so I better always switch to modify the plain html code. But now as the codeproject was 'improved', also this option is much more difficult. E.g.: -> when I paste a simple text in the plain html editing, it sets my cursor at the beginning of the whole article - so I must then scroll down. -> The source code that was part of the text contained various <span class=...></span> sections so it was very difficult e.g. to add there a simple line of a new comment ... -> And when I replaced my zip file with new version of sources, the download stopped to work in the currently published version of the article - so it looks, while my update is in state 'Pending' the download does not work in the currently published version. Am I doing something wrong that I experience this?

Hi Chris, thanks for the response. When the blog-feed did not work for me I deleted it (after many attempts to recover it) and submitted my article manually.

I have noticed, that articles from my blog were not submitted to CodeProject about 5 days. So I recreated the 'Feed' again. The new feed was created and it tried to poll the blog, but I always get the following message: Your blog has been successfully submitted but no Technical Blog entries were consumed. My articles, as always, contain the required anchor tag. It always work, but somehow it stopped to work for me. So now, I am not able to submit articles from my blog. Please, could somebody help me?

  • Download of examples does not work.
    O Ondrej_Uzovic

Hello, I got the message under my article, that it is not possible to download the attached example. I have tried it in myself, and the download really did not work. Instead of the 'Save Dialog Box', I got the "empty" page. e.g.: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/Blogs/185318/EncryptedCommunicationWP7.zip[^] I have checked also my other articles and I got the same problem. I also tried articles of other authors - same problem. It seems the download stopped to work for 'Technical Blog Articles'. When I tried some 'Code Project Article', the download worked. Please, could someone checked this issue?
