Unfortunately i did not find a good sample so i develop a login-screen on my own. The course of the events in my developed application is the following: When the the user logs in a new form is showed where some user specific information is displayed. The problem is how can i know in the new form which user with wich userid was logged in?? - Is this possible with taken over a parameter from the login-screen to the other form? if yes how does it work in mobile applications? I'm not sure about smart device applications specifically, but the approach I'd try would just be to open up a form with your greeting message displayed, that has a timer attached set to fire after 3 seconds, and have an handler function for that timer that closes the form. Then just create an instance of the greeting form from the constructor (or some suitable place) of your main form, that'll make it get displayed -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit! Have you actually read the documentation for the Control.Capture property? It states that a background window will only receive events for messages passed to its visible client area. Only a foreground window can receive events for the desktop client area. You need to read the documentation. If this isn't suitable, then you'll need to read through the Windows CE / Pocket PC documentation on http://msdn.microsoft.com/library[^]. Search for APIs that may work. Probably is it possible to get noticed when a new window or a new tab pane on the PocketPc is opened? - this would be very good, because then i would make screen shots when a new window or tab pane is opened. regards pat
