You may need to abort the thread. Probably the best thing is to have the thread listen for an event that you can raise from your parent thread and use that so it can suspend and or terminate itself cleanly without executing any running code. Dave

I wrote an article on setup projects: http://www.codeproject.com/dotnet/Win_App_Setup_Project.asp[^] It seems that with vs 2005 the setup is improved to beable to check and install the .net framework. It checks the dependance prompts the user to accept the license. Then installs the .net framework. NOTE when it is done it is looking for the setup.msi file so that needs to be there. You just have to change the properties of the images so that they can overlap. Normaly, when images are defined "in front of text", they are able to overlap. Then you just need to change the position of the images. Try to make it manualy by recording in a macro your action, then get the code and adapt it to offie automation. it should work. yes but you should know what you want to give what i think you need can be worked out as follows create a report and let the user save it in desired format (crystal report have it built in) if you want to do more you should use some more dlls provided by microsoft (for doc rtf xls ) and from adobe (for pdf) and you should read office automation (sampels provided by microsoft will work fine) hope that will help :):) It is Good to be Important but! it is more Important to be Good
