Did what you said in another project, where i had programmatically created my dataset,binding source and table adapters etc. it worked 100 %. but the problem with this project is that i drag and dropped the components. And now when I call the tableadapters.fill() method on the child form, in the autogenerated designer code, it gets its connection string from ProjectName.Properties.Settings.Default.StaffConnectionString which is in the app.config file. Is this one of the limitations of using drag-and-drop components?Or is there a way of working around this? I really hope there is a way around cos this is going to require alot of recoding. You can initialize a variable of System.Threading.Timer in the OnStart method as set up event handler for Elapsed event. In the event handler call the stored procedure using sqlcommand object and pass the parameter by adding it to Parameters collection #region signature my articles #endregion

The contents needs to be placed outside the masterpage contenct place holder. The place holder is for displaying the items of the page using the master page. So place your textbox outside the placeholder and include the masterpage file in your actual page. Hope you are now clear with the masterpage concept... and remember there is no head html or body or form tag in pages with masterpage associated. Hope that helps!!!!
