Hi, When you program COM components in C++ you genereally use ATL, wich helps you a lot to deal with the COM gore details. Since C# is a managed Language that runs over the .NET framework it was not designed to support COM developing which is an older unmanaged technology If you want to use COM components from you C# App I strongly recommend you to program them in C++ and loading them into your C# project. But you should first evaluate if its strongly necessary to use COM instead of a .NET component programmed in C# JO :)

When you change the position of the slider, some messages will be sent to the parent. If you send those messages by yourself to the parent of the slider in the same manner you did for the slider, I believe you will get what you expected. You can watch the messages using Spy++. WM_HSCROLL or WM_VSCROLL messages will be they. You can identify the message parameters by refering MSDN. - NS -

When slider bars are moved they post either a WM_HSCROLL or a WM_VSCROLL to its parent. Try posting these messages to the parent window of the slider bar. To determine which message should be sent check the slider control for the style TBS_VERT. Instead of NotifyWinEvent(), you could just add a function to your dialog window class (or wherever appropriate) which updates all the related controls based on the trackbar's position. I guess it ultimately depends on how you write your own OpenGL program. You can still use GLUT and freeGLUT under Windows platforms, that keeps your code mostly identicle between platforms. The other is to insert your code into it's own call system.
