I don't use dataadapters or datatables, for me they are legacy. But, how is the command of the dataadapter built? If you pass a custom SQL to the data-adapter (I really don't know if this is the case), that could be the cause, not the code block you showed here, as here the data adapter already exists.

The framework is different - although very similar in many respects. You will need to research to see what controls are not there / behave differently, and the same for any other inbuilt classes you're using, and redesign accordingly. What you wrote was, in vague pseudo-code, Convert.ToString( (Integer 1) / (Integer 7) ). In integer math, the only possible answer is a while number. Since the result, 0.1428, would be truncated to the whole number, 0 is what you got. Create a DataTable. Once you have established a connection, use a TableAdapter to fill the DataTable. Once you have done that, it's as simple as getting the data from a DataTable.
