This is indeed a research topic :-) AFAIK, this would require statistical NLU at the very least to be even useful. But is not any "IT news" as in CNet, ZDNet, MSNBC etc infotainment afterall ? You never get IEEE publications or similar quality in "IT news" now. Do you ? So by demonstration, "IT news" *is* infotainment

    S Subhobroto

So in order for me to try what you suggest I have to use the Classwizar to add a derived class and EVRYTHING that the Wizard wizard creates for me will be created (Messagemaps and all) ? What so you say... Can you send me a small such demo app (a few snippets to help me out will do) And can I get back to you in the next 2 hours (because I will be trying your method during this time) Please tell me...

You mean I have to add the pages MANUALLY ?? Why cannot I ask VC++ to create a wizard with 99 pages, if I want to ? Do they still havr this limitation in VC++ 7 and 8 ?

Hi The Wizard component that comes in with VC++ 6 does not let me add more than 9 pages ? Why such an odd restriction and how to I get to add as many pages as I like ?

  • RFC - Duplicate file finder features
    S Subhobroto

I made a very nice duplicate file finding utility for myself a few months ago. Now I just wanna share it with you guys (altough I am not very sure who would ever require such a tool ! Anyone ?) However, I just want to add some more features to the basic framework. The basic engine just creates a hash table of filenames which are kind of open chained using linked list of filenames which have the same MD5/SHA/etc digest (that is, are binary equal) It currently finds out any duplicate file(s) in/on your directory/drive and deletes all but the file with the most recent timestamp. That's all I wanted, but I understand that it's the least somebody who seriously wants to use such tool would want ! So please, let me know who might want it, and what feature(s) should I add to it.... Given enough takers, I might write up a nice article to go along with the source code. In the meanwhile, keep the feature requests rolling in... Regards Subhobroto Sinha http://www.geocities.com/subhobrotosinha

  • The week that was...
    S Subhobroto

.. the way the year ended is something most of us will try to forget.. I still remember being overcome with happiness and emotion alongwith my friends while watching Oprah's "Wildest dream come alive", when the phone rung.. It was a call for one of my friends.. his father had gone missing at the Andaman and Niccobar tsunami.. Today, the much dreaded news arrived - he is one of the thousands dead. Oprah - can you help such people ? They want support, more than anything else... ... this new year has brought death to many houses. Please no more.
