Hi all, I've got an idea for a new software project, and I'd like to know if this is something anyone might be interested in. To be clear, I'm not trying to sell or promote my project here. The project is a mobile app for android or ios that can be used to control visual studio, as well as displau things like output and ddbug messagss. While I'm building this to work with tablets or phones, it's meant to be used with tablets. There would also be buttons to clean, build, and debug. The idea is to use a mobike device to reduce or eliminate the need for so many windows in visual studio. The mobile app will communicate with visual studio via an extension I create for visual studio. The extensikn woukd communicate with the mobile app over http or https. Something like socket-io would be the protocol. Ideally, the extension will be availaboe for visual studio and vscode. Personally, I would really like something like this, and I think other people mighf as well. But I dont want to put a ton of time into a project that no one wants. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

As far as screen size, I'm thinking more like an ipad or android tablet, though you could do it on a phone as well. My inspiration is a program called "Duet", that lets me turn my ipad into a second screen. I put some of the windows on it, but the scaling was horrible. I'm thinking people may have old ipads or android tablets, and this might be a good way to make them useful again. It shouldn't a powerful tablet to work, since it's just hitting some endpoints and displaying data. Thanks for your input. I'll update the post to be clearer that I mean tablet sized devices. --John
