Check out subversion from tigris.org it's a much more user friendly replacement for CVS. I think tigris might have some visual studio integration, though I haven't bothered myself as tortoisesvn (also from tigris) does the job fine. Another place to look for IDE integration is PuskOk.com, they produce both cvs & svn integration for visual studio.
