For database connections or any other configurable objects, in your SSIS Package use Configuration File as the value might be changing with environments. In the target envieonment, you just need to update the configuration file and it would work fine.

You can still divide the data extract into multiple extracts, then import them into individual sheets. Maybe I didn't understand your problem. :confused: I thought you were extracting data, then manually importing it into Excel, but after reading your question again I see that you are exporting data directly into Excel. I would still break your extract into multiple chunks and import those chunks into separate worksheets in the same Excel workbook. The answer is that you can define your columns, and you can define them to be hyperlinks, if you want to, and specify a URL which includes data items of your choice on the querystring. Have you tried googling for info on common email patterns for regex, and then modifying them to only take .edu addresses ? There's a program called Expresso that's available on this site, it's got example regex for emails, and is great for testing regex.
