Maybe where you live! In South Africa, due to the one (a previously state-owned) company running the telecoms, we pay the equivalent of $100/month for a 512kbps line with a 5GB download cap! Some people have calculated that to download 100GB of data in SA (I might have that figure wrong) will take you longer and cost you more than to get on a plane, fly to Singapore, download it there and fly back again....
