Hi all, Kindly please, anybody to assist on the following: We have a small office with windows server 2008 and eight work stations. We have also IP PBX , Modem for internet from the ISP, a cyberoam, wireless access point and a switch. We usually take Backup from the server weekly to the external hard drive. We want to move to a new office with our ICT equipments and the Data so that we have the same information to a new office. Now, i need an advise on the following: 1. How to move our Data . We were thinking to have two external disks to copy the information-same Data to each disk one will go to our Headquarters for Backup and the other will use in our new office 2. How to best move the equipments-i know that i will do wiring again to the new office-will i need to do the configuration again or each and everything will still be the same as the old??? anybody to share experience Will appreciate for your ideas regards, Yusufu.

Hello, Can you please assist me on how to add a Computer DNS in Windows Server 2008 and if there is a tutorial somewhere send me a link. The issue came back as now i cannot log in to the new computer added and i looked to the older computers there is a computer Domain Name System(DNS) but in the new one it does not allow me to add the computer DNS - i guess that is a problem i have thanks for your continued support

Hi all, We have an office With windows Server 2008 having 7 Work stations(Computers). I need to add a new computer to the server . i have alredy created a new computer and user in the Active directory users and computers on the server but the problem i have is to connect that Work station(the new computer) to the server . Let me share few steps that i did - i logged in as administrator of that computer. I right click MY COMPUTER-PROPERTIES-COMPUTER NAME-CHANGE then i wrote the name of the computer and the Domain name -MY NETWORK PLACES-RIGHT CLICK LAN-PROPERTIES-TCP/IP-PROPERTIES then i wrote the prefered DNS SERVER ip address the same as the one from the server-OK After trying to log in it didnt allow me for both administrator and any domain user Any one with idea on this. i appreciate your support thanks a lot

Hi all, We have a small office with Windows server 2008 and 7 domain users . We are getting an error message "A DUPLICATE NAME EXISTS IN THE NETWORK" in each user during logging in .Anyone with idea on how to remove this duplicate name please we need a help thanks for your continued support

@ Dave No, it was not Yahoo,Gmail nor Hotmail . It was outlook emails .May be we are not on the same page and correct me if i am wrong i think i am not clear with exchange server because we have our server where these emails are always copied there. thanks you for your patience and support Yusufu

@ Dave thanks for the feedback but can you expand more what to do when i log in as administrator because i logged in and found nothing in mydocument, Desktop and other location. I think may be there are further steps to view Domain files Thanks for your support Yusufu

Hi All, anyone to help on this issue, We have a small office with Windows Server 2008 and eight Domain users, i deleted one Domain user which is no longer working with us but then we discovered that we need some important files from this domain user. I tried to recreate the domain user but when i log in it gives me empty screen. We do Back ups every week. Hi all, We have a small Office with a Window Server 2008 having like 10 work stations(clients). One client computer's MS word 2007 develop some lines(like an excel layout) when you open a document. It works properly, i mean you can type under those lines and when you print they dont appear. When i tried to get in as administrator, ms word is fine the problem is when you log in using that clients domain the word document appears with abnormal lines. I tried to re install the ms word 2007 but still i am facing the same problem Any one who can help on this please? Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you!
