I dont know what is the language you are using to write your application.... I can try to help you in this regard if u opt to use VB.Net... 1.To make reside your app in System tray you have a control NotifyIcon in the control box of vb.net. Declare a NotifyIcon like this Private myNotifyIcon As NotifyIcon Start your application from a Main() Module. create a NotifyIcon at runtime. myNotifyIcon = New NotifyIcon myNotifyIcon.Icon = New Icon("YourIcon.ico") myNotifyIcon.Visible = True 2.Declare a Timer control Private WithEvents myTimer As Timers.Timer 3.Set up the property of that timer control myTimer = New Timers.Timer With myTimer .AutoReset = True .Interval = 1000 .Start() End With In your case the Interval property should be adjusted like your requirement. 4.In the Elapsed event of your timer write code to pop-up the message... Public Sub myTimer_Elapsed(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Timers.ElapsedEventArgs) Handles myTimer.Elapsed Msgbox("HELLO WORLD") End Sub 5.To make your application start with Windows you have to create a shortcut of your application's .exe file to the StartUp folder of the computer where the application will run If you set the timer interval for 15 minutes,it will show you the message in every 15 minutes.... I think the best way to sort something is usually in a DataView. If you current datasource is a datatable then you need to do something like: DataView dv = dataSet.Tables[0].DefaultView; //This assumes you only have one table in your dataset dv.Sort = "columnName ASC"; //or you can do "columnName DESC"; datagrid.DataSource = dv; datagrid.Databind(); Hope that helps.
