Hosting and Servers

Did you program the DNS Server IPAddress for the new domain name to point to your DNS server, which contains the DNS record for the new domain you purchased. Did you write a public zone file or record on the DNS server that your domain name points to? Did you bind the website in IIS7 to the right public / private IP address. Are you using NAT to forward packets from public to private in your router or firewall? Did you set an internal DNS zone record to point to the private ip address of the website if using NAT? IIS7 without the domain name or proper binding will always load the default website.

Please do not crosspost the same question in multiple forums. Secondly, please provide a preoper detailed explanation of what your code is trying to do and what error details you see.

Richard, Thanks for the quick answer! I looked through the account information for my web host and it does not mention 'shared' anywhere. I think the issue lies with an incorrect DNS record and looking at my web stats (hits almost doubled) it all started back in August...yep, it has been at least half a year since I checked web stats or error logs! X| I suppose I should be a nice guy and at least inform my web host...maybe it's something they have to sort out, or at the very least they can tell the owner of the other domain about the problem. The problem was with the IIS bindings. The server bindings for the web service were bound for SSL so I add http port 80 to the bindings and it fixed the problem.
