I scored 30. I do not like that quiz. It tries to portray the bible in a bad light (notice it was put out by the freedom from religion foundation). I do not think that the english translation of the bible should be taken word for word. There is no way to get the full meaning of the original greek Bible in an english translation. And, most christains agree that the Old Testament is not applicable today. I look at it as a historical account of an ancient civilization, not something to be read and followed in this day and age. Yep, they definitely dislike religion:

The Foundation works as an umbrella for those who are free from religion and are committed to the cherished principle of separation of state and church.

I've heard that many times. But the question then becomes, what do you take, what's convenient to you?

I think I'd have to agree with you there... so to take *everything* literally might not be a good idea. That quiz does kind of illustrate how stupid it would be to take it all literally - however they seem to have taken some texts out of context and put their own understanding on it. I'm fairly certain that a lot of texts are meant to be metaphorical.

I have heard that King James only allowed bible translated into english under the condition that it would encourage obedience to the government. "When only the police have guns, it's called a Police State."

I'd say that's an idea perpetrated by someone in the south of the USA, a gun nut who doesn't want to obey the government and is upset that the Bible says he should :-) Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++

Definitely a pagan. Get the bonfire stoked up, the naked babes dancing around it, and a little debauchery going on in the shadows. :-D At any given instant there are considerably more assholes than mouths in the universe.
