I scored 30. I do not like that quiz. It tries to portray the bible in a bad light (notice it was put out by the freedom from religion foundation). I do not think that the english translation of the bible should be taken word for word. There is no way to get the full meaning of the original greek Bible in an english translation. And, most christains agree that the Old Testament is not applicable today. I look at it as a historical account of an ancient civilization, not something to be read and followed in this day and age. "When only the police have guns, it's called a Police State."

I think I'd have to agree with you there... so to take *everything* literally might not be a good idea. That quiz does kind of illustrate how stupid it would be to take it all literally - however they seem to have taken some texts out of context and put their own understanding on it. I'm fairly certain that a lot of texts are meant to be metaphorical.

Kind of like the guidelines the Catholic church came up with to deal with nut cases like what happened at Fatima. First, is it favorable to the church? Second, are the nuts cooperative with helping the church exploit it..... If so, then it's a miracle, else they're just barnyard variety nuts. At any given instant there are considerably more assholes than mouths in the universe.
