.NET XML comments ==> documentation
-
Is there anythign that generates module documentation for C# Express? NDoc doesn't do .NET 2.0 and the XML file generated by the /doc command contains only the comments itself. Does Visual Studio 2005 generate docs (like ther 2003 version did)?
We say "get a life" to each other, disappointed or jokingly. What we forget, though, is that this is possibly the most destructive advice you can give to a geek.

My guess would be that it does, but not for Express. Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++

I remember reading one of the MS guy's blog posts saying that this feature was cut from 2005 because people weren't using it enough to justify updating it for the new 2.0 features. I can't find it after a few google searches though. James

Probably didn’t generate enough error reports from the system testers (end users). A sure sign not a lot of people are using it! I'm on-line therefore I am. JimmyRopes

boost your code || Fold With Us! || sighistThere doesn't appear to be any support for doc generation in any flavor of VS2005. I just downloaded the latest nightly build for ndoc and compiled it under VS2005, then ran it against a small project I have. It emits some strange stuff for generic types, but otherwise it seems to work fine. Marc
