VS2005 giveth, and VS2005 taketh away

we have just been upgraded from VS2003 to VS2005, so in between various other jobs, i am trying to get the new IDE setup correctly. step 1 - set the fonts and colours how i want them. on the plus point there is now an option to highlight C++ code wrapped in #if 0 / #endif, which is a big step forward. you just have to wait a few seconds for the IDE to catch up with you. but then i run into a bit of confusion, why does changing the colour of "operator" to red have no effect? have they changed the definition of operator? i check the help, and get no where useful. so i decided to load a small C# project, and operators are coloured red. in C++, it no longer works. :(( this worked fine in VS2003 and i found it very helpful. i am starting to suspect that most of the fonts and colours options have no effect in C++ zen is the art of being at one with the two'ness

*um* prompted by this good news i have just tried this at home, and it is working perfectly in VS2005 running in VMWare on win2k. i am getting a couple of other "odd" effects with colours on my work machine, so some form of reinstall is probably called for  i only formatted it Thursday of last week, it has not even been a week yet. still, thank you for checking this, at least now i know this should be fixable :rose: zen is the art of being at one with the two'ness

there is definitely some interesting stuff at that site, thank you. i am not sure if his settings will help me, but the plugin and the related links are definitely worth further investigation. zen is the art of being at one with the two'ness
