Hmm, I'm thinking young knave. Yes, I think VCF shall triumph over yon simplistic JavaScript, for VCF wraps JavaScript, and it's runtime dominates the simple script, only allowing what things it deems personable to execute. Yes my young imp, thy evil deeds shall be punished! Now begone with thee, and repent thy scurrilous acts, ere I lose my patience and bind thee to a lizards throat! ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! Real Mentats use only 100% pure, unfooled around with Sapho Juice(tm)! SELECT * FROM User WHERE Clue > 0 0 rows returned Save an Orange - Use the VCF!

Bah, my script will triumph, as True Freedom always rises above the restrictions of platform or framework, and with opportunity to err comes opportunity to excel.

Thanks for that Rex. Jordon is in fact very qualified and has long standing relationships with scads of people in the software development world at places Microsoft, Google, Developmentor, Wintellect and on, and on. Chris and I have known Jordon for years as part of the software development community and I think she's the ideal person to run CodeProject's Developer News service. Give it some time guys, I think it will be great. David -- modified at 16:27 Thursday 26th January, 2006

Me too! I think if we all offer her some constructive feedback and tell her the content we want we'll forget about RSS or Blog and just enjoy the newsletter. I mean if we want her to blog then in my book she needs to also sell iPods and iPod t-shirts. (Blogging, talk about trendy...)

Sad! Sad! But thank you for the link. I agree with the author of that post. I'll never forget one girl I went to school with. She was gorgeous, she knew it, she didn't care and she loved blowing the curve. I'm not talking her bust line either. For her the curves meant the highest scores in class. She got them and pretty much sent a "screw yourself" message to all the mail ego's (and there were plenty) in school. I got to know her and she was a fantastic person. She just wanted work in computers. Cool for sure.

The best programmer on our team is female. And i don't mean best in terms of code output, or organization, or any single area - i mean that if you had to pick one person to see a project through from start to finish, she's the one you'd go with if you wanted the greatest possible chance of success. It's a little surprising at times, when i consider how many truly qualified programmers i've met, and how few of them are men. ( And yet, the vast majority of those looking for work seem to be male... Hmm...)

Yeah, think you'll be dodging that bullet for quite a while now. I'm beginning to think there's an Austin Powers like aura with Shog. It's not "Shag me baby." nor is it "You've been shagged." I think it's better to say, "Shog me baby." and for you at this moment I have to hit you with, "You've been Shogged.";P

I mean it more as an expression of your very unique ability to be extremely creative with very short notice. You did something similar with an avatar question a while back that just floored me.

Have you ever seen the carry strap for the Polar heart rate monitor? Someone just needs to stitch that inside a shirt all the way around and keep it adjustable. Then stitch pockets across it's stitch line and you'll be good to go. If you patent the idea and it makes you rich you owe me dinner.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!! You bastard! You took a woman of infinite beauty, a veritable ray of rosy fingered sunshine, a brilliant, scintillating dew drop, rebinding, and refocusing the very light around her into a halo of sumptuous delight, and cast, nay my merry fool, threw her to the dogs with this vile characterization. I am overwrought with horror, nay with angst, nay, not even words can describe my state right now, such churlish emotions do I feel beating in my breast! I hadn't, but found some pictures online. Looks like it should work, though i'd be interested to see how well it'd stay in place if attached to a shirt.

My whole idea is that you would adjust it loosely in circumference but stitch it tightly to the shirt. that way the weight of the iPod would bring it forward only so much when leaning and then the slack in the back would be taken up completely. You'd have to actually stitch the pocket differently to compensate for the tendency-to-dump of most pockets. Make the pocket more narrow and elastic at the top while making it loose and giving it a collapse fold at the bottom so that the stitch at the top would be the pivot and the looseness at the bottom would create a tendency for it to drop lower in the pocket and hang down away from the body while leaning then when you stood up again the weight would balance back out and bring the ipod as a whole close to the body again. The pocket would collapse back (at the bottom) and you'd still have everything safely stowed.

                                  Some assembly required.

My whole idea is that you would adjust it loosely in circumference but stitch it tightly to the shirt. that way the weight of the iPod would bring it forward only so much when leaning and then the slack in the back would be taken up completely. As I think about it more I bet just stitching the pocket differently is all you'd need to do. The slack in the shirt will be taken up on it's own. I'd try that first.
