Saddam general: WMDs in Syria

Maybe you need to do some research Media Bias Is Real, Finds UCLA Political Scientist "Meanwhile, almost all major media outlets tilt to the left." "The fourth most centrist outlet was "Special Report With Brit Hume" on Fox News, which often is cited by liberals as an egregious example of a right-wing outlet. While this news program proved to be right of center, the study found ABC's "World News Tonight" and NBC's "Nightly News" to be left of center. All three outlets were approximately equidistant from the center, the report found." My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking"

Maybe you need to look at reality[^]. The U.S. media are rapidly being monopolized by a dwindling number of parent corporations, all of whom have conservative economic agendas. The media are also critically dependent upon corporations for advertising. As a result, the news almost completely ignores corporate crime, as well as pro-labor and pro-consumer issues. .... Conservatives often promote the myth that the U.S. media are liberal. This myth serves several purposes: it raises public skepticism about liberal news stories, hides conservative bias when it appears, and goads the media to the right. GOP strategist William Kristol also reveals another reason: "I admit it: the liberal media were never that powerful, and the whole thing was often used as an excuse by conservatives for conservative failures." (1) In unguarded moments, however, even far-right figures like Pat Buchanan come clean: "The truth is, I've gotten fairer, more comprehensive coverage of my ideas than I ever imagined I would receive." He further conceded: "I've gotten balanced coverage and broad coverage -- all we could have asked… For heaven sakes, we kid about the liberal media, but every Republican on earth does that."

This just in....ABCNEWS PLANS AIRING OF SADDAM TAPES TONIGHT: Saddam talking with his advisors about hitting Washington with WMD, hiding weapons, etc... Developing... My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking"
Whoa whoa whoa! Hold your horses there, buddy! Newsweek clearly says that there's nothing to it! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11299205/site/newsweek/[^] I don't know if there is anything to it, but I find it funny that MSNBC/Newsweek would immediately put out a story entitled "Saddam Tapes: What They Don't Prove" when they apparently have not even heard the tapes.

Wow! So could this mean that ABC is not the liberal media? How does that compare to this: Cheney to have Fox interview at 2 p.m.[^] Instead of speaking in a public forum, he does a taped interview with Fox News. Lovely. :suss: Alvaro

If this turns out to be true, will the media still continue to ignore it? My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking"

Because if my aunt had balls, she would be my uncle. Who is this general[^]? Is there any chance that the Butcher of Basra tries to deflect the attention and the blame?

Actually, Fox has covered it.
Good, good! I was actually wondering why Fox hadn't covered this, but since you were wondering if the "media" was going to continue ignoring this issue, I figured they hadn't. Oh, wait, now I get! FoxNews is not the media. Well thankfully, you're right about that! ;P

Why should he do a live interview? My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking"
So that it can go like this: Dan Rather: Dick, why did you attempt to murder this person? Dick Cheney: I didn't try to m... Dan Rather: Is it because you found out that he was switching parties? Dick Cheney: He was switching parties? What? Dan Rather: Yes, he was. Is that the reason you tried to kill him in much the same way you try to kill Democracy in America? Dick Cheney: Hey now Dan. I thought this was about my hunting accident. Where did you hear he was switching parties. He never told me. Dan Rather: (Squiggles on some paper and presents it to Cheney) Here, Dick. Right here. This piece of paper is signed by your friend. It says, "I are quitting the partie becuze your bad!" Dick Cheney: You just wrote that on that piece of paper. Dan Rather: No I didn't. And now we break to our sponsor MoveOn.Org.

That is laughable. 30 years ago all of the media in the US was controlled by 3 and only 3 corportaions - ABC,CBS and NBC, all committed to precisely the same left leaning view of the space time continuum. We now have the most diverse media in history. The competition is driving the left to absolute lunacy. "You get that which you tolerate"

That site certainly proves that the goal of modern liberalism is actually socialism. "You get that which you tolerate"

This is a photo of Area51. http://maps.google.com/maps?t=k&hl=en&ll=37.233566,-115.814561&spn=0.001802,0.003659&t=k It is for civil use. I have seen public photos at google maps where you where able to detect the type of a car. What do you think is possible with a military us satellite? I think they were able to see if Saddam is wearing a brown and a black shoe at the same time. I bet before the war started there was a military satellite over iraq for years. So i think they knew there where no more WMDs.

Well you can certainly fool a satellite. For one thing the general said they used commerical airliners. Do you know what commerical airliners look like from a satellite? You guessed it, commerical airliners. My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking"

Is that the same Georges Hormiz Sada who has been plugging his new book for the last few weeks... You know, his book on Saddam's secret weapons of mass destruction that where smuggled out of Iraq through Syria... Based on what he overheard other pilots chatting about in the mess hall... The same Georges Sada who when asked directly if Saddam *really* moved any weapons of any destruction to Syria under the cover of aid relief has only ever answered with "I think so"... I think Steve Kangas would make a better case witness.
