Whoa whoa whoa! Hold your horses there, buddy! Newsweek clearly says that there's nothing to it! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11299205/site/newsweek/[^] I don't know if there is anything to it, but I find it funny that MSNBC/Newsweek would immediately put out a story entitled "Saddam Tapes: What They Don't Prove" when they apparently have not even heard the tapes.

Wow! So could this mean that ABC is not the liberal media? How does that compare to this: Cheney to have Fox interview at 2 p.m.[^] Instead of speaking in a public forum, he does a taped interview with Fox News. Lovely. :suss: Alvaro

If this turns out to be true, will the media still continue to ignore it? My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking"

Because if my aunt had balls, she would be my uncle. Who is this general[^]? Is there any chance that the Butcher of Basra tries to deflect the attention and the blame?

Good, good! I was actually wondering why Fox hadn't covered this, but since you were wondering if the "media" was going to continue ignoring this issue, I figured they hadn't. Oh, wait, now I get! FoxNews is not the media. Well thankfully, you're right about that! ;P

That is laughable. 30 years ago all of the media in the US was controlled by 3 and only 3 corportaions - ABC,CBS and NBC, all committed to precisely the same left leaning view of the space time continuum. We now have the most diverse media in history. The competition is driving the left to absolute lunacy. "You get that which you tolerate"

I have seen public photos at google maps where you where able to detect the type of a car. What do you think is possible with a military us satellite? I think they were able to see if Saddam is wearing a brown and a black shoe at the same time. I bet before the war started there was a military satellite over iraq for years. So i think they knew there where no more WMDs.

Well you can certainly fool a satellite. For one thing the general said they used commerical airliners. Do you know what commerical airliners look like from a satellite? You guessed it, commerical airliners. Is that the same Georges Hormiz Sada who has been plugging his new book for the last few weeks... You know, his book on Saddam's secret weapons of mass destruction that where smuggled out of Iraq through Syria... Based on what he overheard other pilots chatting about in the mess hall... The same Georges Sada who when asked directly if Saddam *really* moved any weapons of any destruction to Syria under the cover of aid relief has only ever answered with "I think so"... I think Steve Kangas would make a better case witness.

That carries the same weight as having a conversation with you.

Why should he do a live interview? My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking"

And why not? He should do a live press conference where he can answer all questions from the media -- the voice of the American public. Maybe you forgot, but we pay his freaking salary. Please don't tell me you find nothing strange with him doing a taped interview with his fair and balanced friends at FoxNews. Why is he so afraid of the "MSM"?
