Recommendations for a web-based Bug Tracking System

There are so many out there, so I was wondering if any of you have used one that you are happy with. I am looking for one that's open source, ASP.NET based, needn't necessarily be easy to configure as long as it runs well and is usable. I need one that supports multiple products/projects and if possible the ability to provide user-logins to people (with restricted access) - so they can view bugs, or add bugs to a select product etc. All suggestions appreciated! I heartily second that recommendation, though it doesn't meet Nish's requirements of Open Source and ASP.NET-based (though it is ASP-based). But, it's an excellent product. :) Jon Sagara Look at him. The Ultimate Grid - The #1 MFC grid out there!Licenses to it aren't very expensive, just $129 per user (and about $18/yr. per user for support). I bought my own license to use at home last year and haven't regretted it so far. James

The Ultimate Grid - The #1 MFC grid out there!I've used the lates version (as of Dec 05) of TestTrack Pro which has a nice interface for both Windows & Web. Both the web & win UI are simple, elegent and user friendly. Seapine Software[^] There is no compromise in the feature set for Win or Web UI. It is simple configuration options and has webservice frontend. I used it in an environment of ~ 30 users. We're currently using TeamTrack for online bug management. Serena Software[^] The version we have (v 5.8) does not have Win UI. TeamTrack has very complex & advance query & reporting engine. I think TeamTrack is much more scalable than TestTrack Pro. I think administrators would favor TeamTrack as opposed to the former. The web UI is cumbersome and does not fully utilize the space. I'm currently using it where number of users is > 500. - Malhar

I recommend that. It's ASP.NET and Opensource. You can tweak for any features missing. I used it for some time.

The Ultimate Grid - The #1 MFC grid out there!FogBugz is smooth, it's definitely worth buying. Gemini[^] fits your requirements better, but I'd still use FogBugz. BTW. We use FogBugz at work and are happy with it. Then there's this Joel guy (you might know him from his Joel on Software column back when blogs were columns). He makes a great bug tracking tool called FogBugz. And if you try your google luck for "best bug tracking software", you find this[^]. I hope I made myself clear, and don't need to send Wassili.

This one[^] seems pretty popular. Haven't used it myself, but one of my co-workers has it installed for his own use, and seems to like it.

I tried it once, but I found it to be quite limited in ease of extensibility. Admittedly, I did not give it more than a couple of hours, but it wasn't anything like the other products I had tried earlier in terms of extensibility. Way too much effort was required to setup a more complicated workflow if I recall correctly, and it involved coding in perl.
