I know that, I was being sarcastic. There is an ISO-standard for dates, why not use it? If they want to communicate with the world, than don't be confusing.

Ah. I see. Well, I personally think it's a pretty jacked up system we have here. I wish we'd also convert to the metric system...but I don't see that happening for the forseeable future.

meh... every system has its oddities... like in german (and probably other languages too), the 1's place is typically said after the 10's place, but all other digits are read in order from largest to smallest :confused: And the us probably won't convert to the metric system much sooner than people in england will drive on the right side :laugh: at least (most of) the scientific aspects of math are done with the metric system :)
