Guess who owns VirtualPC now... ;) I'd be very surprised if VMWare or someone doesn't bring out a VM system capable of running Windows on OS/X soon, now that such a thing is possible without having to emulate the processor. But even then, you're taking a performance hit playing games - better to just reboot, get your UT fix, and reboot again.

Now taking suggestions for the next release of CPhog...

Yeah, but it was always too slow for games. Which is what most people on Macs only want Windows for. Jeremy Falcon

Or they could just move to Windows. My brother just bought a new Mac. I asked him why not windows and he couldn't give me a non-emotion based reason.

Can you give him a non-emotion based reason why you choose Windows (outside of games and it's popular)? Jeremy Falcon

You know, that's why i try to avoid OS jihadism - if i didn't get paid to write software for it, i wouldn't have a good reason to use Windows either... :~

Same here. Although I did get to play with Macs for work once, but that job has long gone. Jeremy Falcon

I code on windows all day and then use a Mac at home, just because it’s nicer (its not work!). But to be able to boot the Mac into windows would be great. I can still keep work and home separate, but if I have to I could boot my Mac to windows and finish things off at home. Posted from a power book…

I don't really play video games. I dont have anything against Macs and I think there pretty cool, but popularity is a big factor. Just look at all the tools on codeproject alone. Besides, black turltenecks don't really suit me.

That’s too bad. If I didn’t earn a living coding for windows I might make the full switch. Its not that OSX is perfect, far from it, but the fact it’s different from windows and comparable in terms of functionality. Makes home computer use fun!

You are a defiler, I say. An iMac is a deity when compared to a lowly PC. That alone explains it's 50% cost increase. I don't understand why anyone would want that. Isn't the iMac just a PC with really good industrial design that costs 50% more?

I would much prefer to have one of those nice Powerbook (whoops...I mean MacBook) laptops over the ugly HP laptop that I currently have. The thing is sooooo much thinner than mine, and the mouse and keyboard are wonderful. Now if I could only scrape together the $$ for a Mac.
