More Memory Please!

I have 640MB (the motherboard's max is 768 (3x256MB) (yes this is an OLD computer)) and it's only painful when I try to run more than one VM in VirtualPC.

Impressive RAM attitude there! I am similarly minded as far as RAM is concerned - though sometimes my bank balance doesn't live up to my mindset! Regards, Nish

The Ultimate Grid - The #1 MFC grid out there!Just got 1GB of RAM at Best Buy for 84 bucks, also I got 512 MG for my wife's computer, however after opening it I realized she is got SRAM instead of DDR. Need to return and get SRAM, hate that! My point go to Best Buy its cheap this week to buy KByte Al

I have 2 GB at home and the same at work right now. I don't think my home machine's board supports > 2 GB Ram. Else I may have upgraded to 4 GB. *sigh* Regards, Nish

I haven't tried it yet. I'm still a VC 6 guy, although as I'm going through and updating my articles, I fire up 7.1 to check that the sample code works. --Mike-- Visual C++ MVP  LINKS~! Ericahist | NEW!! PimpFish | CP SearchBar v3.0 | C++ Forum FAQ

My box right now is a 2.5ghz P4 with 1GB ram and 200gb hard drive. Have had it for about 3 years now and it's still doing fine but an upgrade would be sweet. Maybe after my thesis is done :)

What's about developer machines that they requiere so much memory. I keep adding memory as more I use a machine. As the projects get bigger and I use that machine to publish them, so the machine asks me for more memory. So what's the normal here for memory? Got normally 4 projects open VS2003 and VS2005, I copile one while I work in another. Need to go to Best Buy in a few and get another GB How much memory is in your computer? Al

And to think that large banks (those that handle cash, not memory banks) in the US used to have at the most 4 megabytes of main memory on a System/370!
