I am a same female person who posted her first message yesterday. Some people have made lot of fun for it. I don't know why. But here is the clarification: I am a truly female and whatever i worte yesterday was 100% accurate. A guy whose CP id is "tili" was the first to said that I am a liar and my name is "Imran Farooqui". Thats some thing stupid. I don't know who is "tili" and who is "Imran Farooqui" I didn't reply my previous thread as it was a night time in my country and i was sleeping. Another guy name Nish said that in karachi there can't be such a company having so large number of female members. I think that he reserved no right saying that, as he seems to be not visited Karachi which is a city of around 15 million people. Any ways i am deeply disappointed and never like to post again. So, bye for ever. Saima Ali

Hmmmm thats strange that you've never heard about karachi. Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan and the main commercial and industrial centre of the country. It is a only seaport of Pakistan and most of the commercaial activities of country are engaged here. Pakistan advertizing/ fashion industry is here and most of the country's prominent magazines originates here. It is a thickly populated city and so crime rates are high. USA declared this city as worst for its citizens. Saima Ali

Well, I learn something new every day :-) But Karachi is not Pakistan's capital city, is it? as far as I know the capital is Islamabad (unless my geography classes from junior high starts to fade in the distant past - ok, I'm only 20 but still long time since my last geography class) Cheers, -- LuisR ──────────────   Luis Alonso Ramos   Chihuahua, Mexico   www.luisalonsoramos.com CPUA: 0xC0DE - No Sonork yet MiniPutt best: 20 "Do not worry about your difficulties in mathematics, I assure you that mine are greater." -- Albert Einstein

Pretending women can't code would be stupid, IMHO. However, it seems girls are less interested than boys by computer sciences, at least for the moment. For example, we are here 6 developpers, one is a woman. At school, the proportion in computer sections was also one woman for five men. In mechanical sections, the proportion felt to one for fifteen, and in chemical sections the proportion was five to one. ------------------------------------ Ash to ash, and clay to clay, If the enemy doesn't get you Your own folk may ------------------------------------

You are right. We are 12 developers, one is a woman (me). But this is not a good reason to think that if a woman writes a post perhaps she is not a she but a he. Last Christmas we had a dinner for all the people that work here : 14 men and 1 woman (me). But this wasn't a goor reason not to go with my collegue, even if it was quite funny ....

It's a pseudonym that consists of 2 parts: (1) the MarS is made up of the first 3 letters of my first name, and the first letter of my second name (hence the capital "S"), and (2) the CoZa indicates that I'm from South Africa (South African URLs end in ".co.za")

Why must s/he point out that she's female, and practivally push her profile's pic into everyone's face? S/he started the "female" thing, not we.

Nish, i found no reason that she stated something wrong. I am 70% sure that she is a female. In the last two years software industry has grown by leaps and bound in this part of the world. So there are many female developers around. Here in Karachi there are large number of Software Houses havin many female workers. And i think she may works in big company like this one. Imran Farooqui

I thought there was some dispute as to whether Karachi is in Pakistan or India. Admnitedly, I don't pay too much attention to the issue, but I thought that's why India and Pakistan are constantly at each other's throats. I thought there was some dispute as to whether Karachi is in Pakistan or India. Admnitedly, I don't pay too much attention to the issue, but I thought that's why India and Pakistan are constantly at each other's throats.
