No thanks. I had a Gmail invitation offer a month back and decided that I don't need the extra space, at the expense of an additional account. I have had the hotmail address for 4 years, so all sorts of important sites have it as my "back-up" email address, for when I loose their passwords. If I tried to change to Gmail, I'd forget half of those sites. But if Hotmail are making their Inbox bigger, I'll have one of those please!

Doesn't Hotmail have an auto forward option, so you can have hotmail forward everything into your gmail account? -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit! Buzzwords!

Thanks for the suggestion - I don't remember a forwarding option! I will look into that. Almost certainly still have to log on to Hotmail every few weeks or else they will terminate the account.

Same problem here. Perhaps it's only for US users? :~ Cheers, Vikram.

I'll let you know if I find a solution (or a reason why we are being discriminated against.)

While signing in to Hotmail today, I noticed that the login screen says Inbox size has been increased to 250 MB and attachment size to 10 MB. So I had a look at my Inbox - it indicates that I'm using 15% of my 2MB . Then I thought - maybe it's only for new accounts? So I signed up for a new account using new name etc. Same result - also appears to have 2MB limit. Anyone have any ideas about the 250MB Inbox? Maybe because my hotmail profile has me listed as being in South Africa? -- modified at 4:39 Saturday 1st April, 2006 OK - got the answer. I looked through HOTMAIL HELP, and discovered that it is country-specific, and South Africa isn't on the list. 250 MB is available in: Australia (AU), Austria (AT), Belgium (BE), Brazil (BR), Canada (CA), China (CN), Denmark (DK), Finland (FI), France (FR), Germany (DE), Hong Kong (HK), India (IN), Italy (IT), Japan (JA), Korea (KR), Mexico (MX), Netherlands (NL), Singapore (SG), Spain (SP), Sweden (SE), Switzerland (CH), Taiwan (TW), United Kingdom (UK), United States (US),

Unfortunately, I think this is US Only since my account shows the 250 Mb limit, and I'm in the US. Regards, Brigg Thorp Senior Software Engineer Timex Corporation

Upgrading to 250 mb now?? I've been on 2GB since last 2 months with Hotmail Live .. and not even paying a single extra penny for it. Try signing up for Live and you'll receive an invite shortly. - Malhar

Not true - I just logged into my old hotmail without having done so for approx. 6 months probably. BTW, I'm in the Netherlands and have 250MB as well ;P But then again, who wants hotmail when there's ISP email/own domain email/Gmail? :) Paul

Interesting - I wonder what I have to do to get the 250Meg. My Inbox definitely shows a 2 Meg limit.
