It's funny you mention that Nish, for I have some terrible news to report... I just got an e-mail that Ravi passed away last night shortly after his post in the thread below. Early reports suggest he choked on a ham sandwich. Funeral is next Tuesday, where he'll be put to rest in the grave next to hero, "Mama" Cass Elliot. (if there's room - she takes up alot of earth) Any future posts on his account can be attributed to mice and a CP sponsored replacement clone. Possible manslaughter charges pending against code frog. Sincerly, CP Insider Montreal great Guy Lafleur, quoted by CBC on being mugged while vacationing recently in Buenos Aires: "I didn't have any time to react before I got a sucker-punch in the eye. It was like one of the players from the Bruins."

Yeah me. Left home this (yesterday) morning at 07:30 to get onsite at 09:00 (have the weekend off from the pub) to install a server and a couple of workstations, migrate data, install obscure existing programs on Windows 2003 SBS and wait for all the problems I know will come to bite me on the arse. Got home midnight (about 1 hour 20 minutes ago) and really should have a shower and go to bed. Just a couple of beers left from the 6 pack I bought for the ride home (took half the trip to find a bottleshop open). Michael Martin Australia "I controlled my laughter and simple said "No,I am very busy,so I can't write any code for you". The moment they heard this all the smiling face turned into a sad looking face and one of them farted. So I had to leave the place as soon as possible." - Mr.Prakash 24/04/2004

None whatsoever. We went for an early lunch in Bournemouth (ostensibly to discuss the database design for a future version of Visual Lint) then for a long walk around town and along the seafront. If it wasn't for the wind, you'd almost think it was June. It's bright and sunny, and the beaches are already starting to fill up... Anna :rose: Currently working mostly on: Visual Lint  Anna's Place | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up. It didn't work.

Not so far. I did just get off the phone after a lengthy tele-conference with IBM and Sun, they are going to drop SWT and Swing/AWT in favor of just C++. We all agreed that basically Java's a joke on the desktop and it's time to get serious about C++, so they've decided to adopt the VCF in a massive collaborative project. Apple is also evaluating it, saying that "ObjectiveC is nice, but nobody seems to want to use a language that specifies function calls with array indexing symbols." Frankly I'm a little nervous about getting Steve on board, but I'm sure it will all workout. ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! Real Mentats use only 100% pure, unfooled around with Sapho Juice(tm)! SELECT * FROM User WHERE Clue > 0 0 rows returned Save an Orange - Use the VCF!

Yeah, that's what the IBM and Sun guys suggested as well. I mean, for God's sake, what's he *really* done? Not much if you think about it. So I just need to bring him back down to earth a little bit. How hard can that be? ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! I thought about posting a "help me write ...." in the C# section... since I really am learning... pick an example out of the book and ask it in the C# section... but I figured that I might be a casualty of my own April Fools joke. :) And then no one would help me when I really did need help in later chapters. So I chickened out. :) _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. Talk about things of tomorrow and the mice in the ceiling laugh.
