Just smack Steve around a bit, he'll straighten up. Jeremy Falcon
Yeah, that's what the IBM and Sun guys suggested as well. I mean, for God's sake, what's he *really* done? Not much if you think about it. So I just need to bring him back down to earth a little bit. How hard can that be? ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! Real Mentats use only 100% pure, unfooled around with Sapho Juice(tm)! I thought about posting a "help me write ...." in the C# section... since I really am learning... pick an example out of the book and ask it in the C# section... but I figured that I might be a casualty of my own April Fools joke. :) And then no one would help me when I really did need help in later chapters. So I chickened out. :) _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. Talk about things of tomorrow and the mice in the ceiling laugh. It's funny you mention that Nish, for I have some terrible news to report... I just got an e-mail that Ravi passed away last night shortly after his post in the thread below. Early reports suggest he choked on a ham sandwich. Funeral is next Tuesday, where he'll be put to rest in the grave next to hero, "Mama" Cass Elliot. (if there's room - she takes up alot of earth) Any future posts on his account can be attributed to mice and a CP sponsored replacement clone. Possible manslaughter charges pending against code frog. Sincerly, CP Insider Montreal great Guy Lafleur, quoted by CBC on being mugged while vacationing recently in Buenos Aires: "I didn't have any time to react before I got a sucker-punch in the eye. It was like one of the players from the Bruins."

Not so far. I did just get off the phone after a lengthy tele-conference with IBM and Sun, they are going to drop SWT and Swing/AWT in favor of just C++. We all agreed that basically Java's a joke on the desktop and it's time to get serious about C++, so they've decided to adopt the VCF in a massive collaborative project. Apple is also evaluating it, saying that "ObjectiveC is nice, but nobody seems to want to use a language that specifies function calls with array indexing symbols." Frankly I'm a little nervous about getting Steve on board, but I'm sure it will all workout. ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! I hear he's quite manageable, as long as you have your personal reality distortion field nullifier set to maximum.
