Okay - The guy may be having problems with some code in an article... And we all have bad days from time-to-time... But don't go around hurling abuse like this[^] over an article on CP. Especially one that has 53 votes and a rating of 4.33 which suggests that a lot of people actually liked it. [EDIT] And I wonder who went round this entire thread voting everyone a "1"? [/EDIT]

Time for someone to get a warning... Very interesting about how he mentions an article is bad because there is no source code and he doesn't understand it, and then starts giving rude tips about bugs in the code...

I can only assume that they are want to do everything in code which I agree with Colin is perhaps not the ideal place to be doing this business. If they insist on performing everything in code, I strongly suggest they find a way of using transactions or at least Try Catch blocks. Personally, I credit Colin with trying to help I would have stopped reading at DAO and I hope that Colin will not become discouraged by the replies.

Nothing worse then criticism in this manner useful criticism can be very helpful if it is approched in a thoughtful manner. This wasn't very thoughtful also some people just don't care to curb there language choices. Without the filtered words it might have come across as somewhat useful. :) Most likely it was oriented in jealosy and they should consider posting their own article and see how it feels when they read posts like that. Not so surprisingly a lot of posts that folks make here are well intended and thoughtful :)

Okay - The guy may be having problems with some code in an article... And we all have bad days from time-to-time... But don't go around hurling abuse like this[^] over an article on CP. Especially one that has 53 votes and a rating of 4.33 which suggests that a lot of people actually liked it. I think a number of people saw the unfair 1s and voted 5 to compensate - now its a little over compensated :-D
