Air-travel related question

Together, the two of us can carry 46 Kg of luggage when flying internationally, and domestic Indian flights allow the same if you are a traveller from US/Canada. Considering the fact that the high air-ticket rates are inclusive of the default baggage rates, why would I carry less than permitted :-D, especially if I have to take significant effort in deciding what to cut down from my travel list :rolleyes: Cheers Smitha Every problem has a gift for you in its hands. -- Richard Bach

Suppose you are flying from point A to point C via point B. You plan to stay a couple of days at point B, and you don't want to carry around your entire baggage during your stay at point B. The most comfortable option would be if the point B airport provided some baggage storage service. Now my question is, do airports actually provide such storage services for transit travellers? If the final destination is a hotel with pickup service at the local airport you may be able to forward some of your luggage to the final destination and have the hotel staff driver pick it up and store it at the hotel. Hotel storage is usually more reliable than public hubs [airport, railroad terminals, bus station] as they have a personal interest in satisfying the customer. The logistics of this [getting your luggage released to the hotel agent] would have to be worked out in advance. I'm on-line therefore I am. JimmyRopes

I did this at Heathrow (London) once and it works well. Paid £5 for one day. Generally it is near the Oversized Baggage area. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry!
