Developing on Windows 2003 Server

We are moving to 2003 server from XP (if there are no issues!) for Visual Studio 2005 development, does anyone have any bad experiences, or anything I should look for? Will it work fine? On the machine i used before the one i have now, i went from Win2000 to Win2003 Server rather than upgrading to XP. At the time, XP SP2 wasn't out yet, so Win2k3 was slightly more up-to-date, and frankly it was less work turning on the services that i needed (sound) on 2k3 than turning off the ones i don't on XP. I doubt it made much of a difference over time, but it sure seemed more solid at the time. :)

Make sure your hardware is supported. That is, make sure there are Win2k3-specific drivers for everything in or attached to the machine. There are instructions on the 'Net for modifying it to work more like a desktop OS. Personally, i'd leave themes and CD burning off, but your choice.
