Vista, in Italian it's the feminine past participle of vedere (to see). For example: "I have seen her" -> "L'ho vista" (it could be also "Ho visto lei", but it's not used). It's poll time! :) After talking to another developer about Windows Vista, I've recently discovered that it isn't clear what the official pronunciation of "Vista" is. If you say
"Vee-Stu"as in "hasta la vista", then please vote me a 5. If you say"Vi-Stu", then please vote me a 1. Since I can't vote on my own post, I'll give you my opinion right here. I say "Vee-Stu". It's a Spanish word afterall.Joshua Quick wrote:

Ahhh, but I being from California (San Jose to be specific) which has many Spanish influences, "Vee-Stuh" seems more natural to me. From the local people I've asked so far, the answers have been mixed. My point here is that the pronunciation isn't as clear as you think.
