Does Office 2000 Professional have the ability to create Adobe PDF files? I don't want to buy Adobe's product because it's too expensive( I already blew $700 on Photoshop a while back). Thanks for your comments in advance. :)

No, Office 2000 doesn't have the ability to create PDF files. You'll need to install Adobe Acrobat Writer ($200) to export a file as PDF. /ravi "There is always one more bug..." http://www.ravib.com ravib@ravib.com

Try as an alternative. I haven't tried it though but I think you can get a free version. Regardz Colin J Davies

If you have linux installed you can use the free ps2pdf command line tool. Just print the word doc to file using a postscript printer and then convert it to pdf using ps2pdf. Maybe try this website as well... (i've never used it myself) http://www.ps2pdf.com/convert/index.htm

I second this - we bought Win2PDF and have been very pleased with it. Don't buy Adobe's PDF maker - it sucks ! Steven J. Ackerman, Consultant ACS, Sarasota, FL http://www.acscontrol.com steve@acscontrol.com sja@gte.net

Try pdfFactory. It lets you "print" from any app to a PDF file.

You could try GhostScript and RedMon. They require a little configuring (a fairly simple text file, if I recall correctly), but it's reasonably documented and free. Gavin Greig
