The sad part is this guy was being used and he doesn't even realize it. And I love how getting drunk and hugging is "soul connecting". $20 says the chick didn't think that. She was probably bummed about her real relationship ending and used Issac for emotional comfort. The real sad part as if Issac played his cards right he may have gotten laid. Fellow CPians, I'd like to tell you about my last night adventure. A friend of mine had a birthday so she invited all her friends to some pub. I met there a girl I've known through mutual friends for the past few years and seen on several occasions. Whenever we met it seemed we had a spark, but when I made a pass at her a couple of months ago she rejected me. So last night she sat beside me and we started talking. She told me she needed a drink, since her latest short-term relationship was about to end. A couple of minutes later we were sitting on the bar drinking who knows what and getting drunk like a redneck on moonshine after his cousin left him for his brother. We spent the rest of the evening talking, laughing, dancing to some early 60's classics and of course drinking. Then we went for a walk outside to get some fresh air. At this point we were both very drunk, but even though I drank more than her she was in a worse state than I was - she could hardly walk straight. We sat on a bench, hugging, and she put her head on my shoulder (like the song we've just danced to). I felt like kissing her, and I'm sure she wanted it too (at least earlier in the evening). But she was so drunk (and me too) that I thought it wouldn't be right. I got her some fresh water and soon after we drove home with a couple of friends (the driver was sober). When we got to her home I walked her upstairs and when we parted she gave me a hug and thanked me for the evening. Today we talked again on ICQ (every once in a while we chat on ICQ or talk on the phone). In a couple of days she's flying to NYC for a month. How about Ctrl+r in pageKeyBindings for QuickReply, Ctrl+M for QuickModify, and Ctrl+N for new post? That way we can open the PostForm in every situation with the keyboard as well. How about Ctrl+Shift+(Left|Right) for moving back and forth between pages? And maybe Ctrl+Shift+Home for the first forum page... I was thinking Ctrl+Q in editKeyBindings for DoQuote. Except that leaves the question of what to quote. My current thought would be, if there's no selection in the parent post, then quote the entire post. And then they can go in and remove parts of it in their quotation if they want. Also, there are times when I want to make some of the text in my post quoted. Either I have to remember the class attribute for the blockquote tag, or I have to quote some text and edit the quote manually. I'd love to be able to quote text in my post. If there's a selection in the midas window, then we run DoQuote on that HTML, otherwise we run it on the parent page's HTML. Also, you can remove the useKeyCode param from HandleKeyCombo. I was doing that a different way, then refactored it, and forgot to remove the parameter. Oh! And hitting Ctrl+Enter in the midas editor doesn't work. It throws an error like this:

Now that was funny. Like any group of people CP has it bullies that think putting others down makes them look or feel better. You obviously like this girl and theres nothing wrong with that. Keep in touch with her, keep your expectations low and see what happens. If it doesnt work out then the memory of this situation will make you appretiate it more when it does work out with another girl. No matter how much of a 'real man' you are there will always be another guy out there who is more of a real man (bigger muscles, better car, more hard arse etc etc). In my limited experiance, girls that go for 'real men' tend to get bored and move on to a realer man pretty soon. Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
