Yeah...Because nobody ever plays the race card, do they? Two days ago I saw a protest in Sandy Springs (a satellite city). A bunch of Mexicans were holding up signs saying "Stop racism in Sandy Springs" painted in bright red and green. A couple weeks ago at an anti-illegal immigration rally downtown, a bunch of Mexicans stormed in and started chanting "racist! racist!". This behavior is obviously unheard of.

Again, please get out of your binary mindset. Just because a few people do it (justified or not) doesn't mean everyone else does. As John mentioned, this is the first time it's happened to his wife. Did you get that? First time.

I think you're the one in the binary midset as I clearly did not state or imply that everyone does it. I implied that it is relatively commonplace while you implied that it is extremely rare (almost nonexistent...since you said "There's a first time for everything"). Since this behavior is commonly observable and since you clearly only think in black and white while I have an ability to see shades of nuanced grey, I would say that I'm right and you're not. Therefore: Neener Neener.

You've played the "neener neener" card, so there is no acceptable response. I guess this thread is pretty much finished. :)

My wife and I volunteer our time to a golden retriever rescue group[^] based in Austin. We've been doing this for over five years, and my wife is currently the adoption coordinator for San Antonio. She recently got an adoption request which she had to reject because the individual making the request did not meet on eor more of the requirements that all adoptions must meet. She couldn't even remembr right off hand why she rejected the request, so she searched for the email that stated the reason(s). It turns out that the family's yard is not fenced (one of the big items they require). In any case, this guy wrote back complaining that he thought he may have been refused because the would sometimes be leaving the dog outside while his wife (who doesn't work and stays home most of the day) ran errands. Then, he stated that he felt the rejection might be due to his family being hispanic. This isn't the first time my wife has rejected an adoption application (in fact, they probably reject 3 out of every 10), but it IS the first time she's been accused of having racist motives for doing so. I hope this idiot is one of the 12 million replacement Mexicans espier was talking about...

Cynical and hypocritical bull5hit. You, espier, shanon and falcon are neo-KKK racists. That's a evident fact for everyone who's been reading your posts about muslims and latinos. It's also evident in your biography[^]. Stop whinning about a particular irrelevant incident, stupid racist. Go dress a white hood and burn crosses with your friends. It is a little less pathetic. How's Brazil doing? I heard your police force slaughtered over 80 people in the streets the other day. That's probably more than the KKK managed to kill over several decades.

Playing the hard-done-by and oppressed minority card appears to be the norm these days when you can't get what you want by normal means. It strikes me that (with the US in particular) you have millions of uninvited and ILLEGAL guests now clamouring for equal status and all sorts of rights and priviliges that they've done nothing to earn or deserve. If they'd turned up uninvited in your home in the middle of the night by climbing through an unguarded but open window you could have shot them as intruders and been praised for defending your home and family. Isn't the US your home and its legal citizens your family? home

I consider that pretty good company, and we're not racists. We're pissed off Americans. Everytime we get pissed off enough, a bunch of foreigners get there asses kicked. If Brazil would just wait patiently in line, we'll get around to kicking your asses soon enough. Oh wait, you guys are busy killing each other right now...

I think I'd shoot first and get my story straight afterwards: someone comes in my house uninvited and looks like they may want to do some damage then I'd rather face court than risk being buried. Hmm! It all depends on which kind of beach you like. As you may know the town is in an island so we have more than 50 beaches to choose from, all in the 20 km range. In the west the waves are very small and the beaches are more suitable to families with children. In the east the waves are higher, it's windy, and the beaches are better for sports (surf, body-boarding, sailling, etc). The most expensive areas are in the north and center. The cheapest are in the south. If you want quietness it might be a better idea to find a place in the continent. The town is growing too fast. Believe me i own several firearms as well. I am also an instructor for my states CCW course. Just making sure some folks check their liabilty 1st before you face economic ruin. Glad my state is correcting the idiocy of being cleared of any criminal act and then the family of crack addict robber suing me for ridding the world of his scum arse for breaking into my house.

At which beach are you least likely to be murdered?

I think I'd shoot first and get my story straight afterwards: someone comes in my house uninvited and looks like they may want to do some damage then I'd rather face court than risk being buried. Besides, that wasn't really my point: you took what I said too literally. You sure you're not my ex-wife??? home

Story does not matter if your state allows you to be civily charged even if you are cleared criminally. Many do that. You could be econmicly ruined defending yourself from one of these stupid lawsuits. Check into it to be safe. If they allow it push for the Floridal like "Stand your ground - Castle Doctrine". Pretty f*d up to be sued by the family of these scum because you took the life of their wonderful father / provider for the mere fact of breaking into your house and trying to harm you and steal your stuff. You mean person you. ;)

Yes, you can. But it will not be with a vista to the sea. If you want with a view to the beach, you'll likelly pay 60000 or more. Wouldn't that be safer? If you're right on the beach, some beachgoer might try to shoot you and steal your house.
