Since I switched to decaf espresso a couple of months ago (when I finally found a good tasting decaf espresso bean (CO2 process)) sleeping has not been an issue any more.

;P Was ordered off coffee altogether in autumn last year by a doctor, needless to say as I was a real coffee addict at the time, it wasn't easy to do. I have been drinking decaf since then, its awful horrible stuff and I did suffer caffine withdrawl (I kid you not) for about three months. I am fine, am over it all now, but it amazed me how badily addicted to coffee I was. :-O Regards Ray "Je Suis Mort De Rire" Blogging @ Keratoconus Watch

I was a hard core coffee drinker, we have a kick ass espresso machine for work and home and I decided to quit drinking caffeine for the hell of it and went on a search for really good tasting decaf espresso and found that CO2 process decaff espresso tastes about as close to the regular as you can possibly get. We mail order it and it's delicious. If all I could get was bad tasting decaf I'd have just quit drinking coffee altogether.

2pm. I try to limit myself to no more than 2-3 cups per day, and after lunch is when I need waking up the most. That's a sign of too heavy or too carbohydrate a lunch usually.

Serious answer: about 17:00 at the latest, otherwise it will affect my sleep. On another note (and also true), my brother once knew a guy with insomnia and ADD and it turned out he was drinking 8 (EIGHT) litres of coke a day. Once he switched to water his insomnia and ADD were miraculously cured.

After leading a coffee revolt over the last few months, I've managed to convert most of our "it doesn't matter, the beans are all the same" crowd to (almost) being coffee snobs. We used to get pre-packed ground coffee at Sam's Club - horrible! Life's too short for cheap cigars, bad coffee, and ... you know the rest. I began bringing in the better beans from home, grinding them in the office and brewing a pot. That became two pots. That became a coffee club of sorts with folks chipping in for even better beans. The boss even sprang for 10 pounds of Kona beans from Hawaii (goooooood coffee) It's lasted a little over a month. Not bad for an office of 35 folks. Anyway, last coffee? About 2:30 pm. Sometimes as late as 5:00 (gotta' be alert for traffic on I-25). If there's dessert after dinner, then it's about 9:00 pm. Never had a problem sleeping. -Bob

Yuk, decaf? No way I'd drink that, that's a waste of time, money and taste. Hmm, I drink coffee until lunch, sometimes even after. I used to work night shifts on hardware, drank it all night long! But something else is, the difference between coffees between the north and south. Northerners make coffee too weak to even rate as real coffee.
