I think the debate can be settled by realising that Freddie sang "I want to ride my bicycle" and not "I want to drive my bicycle." :-D regards, Paul Watson Ireland FeedHenry needs you

Absolutely since Freddie died. I cannot recall whether his death had something to do with the phrase "I want to ride my bicycle" or not... ;P

More expensive but plasma is much better than LCD (I work set top boxes software so work with these a lot). We use LCDs for normal work (all have 37 inch LCDs on our desks) and have one plasma for checking decoder quality and demonstrations. Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D

I've got some good DVDs to watch (getting the matching Panasonic DVD recorder too) and will be waiting about a month for Telewest's TVDrive HD PVR because they released it about 5 months early so the software should be stable then. part of the resaon is that my old telly is 7 years old, cost £100 and can't cope with wide screen DVDs, some overscan issue. Happy for you! What model have you settled for? I'm thinking about Samsung's PS-42S5HX. The price has really decreased lately, yet it's HD-Ready.

Good afternoon Vikram. For the purposes of avoidance of doubt, I would like to state that this thread, whilst repetitive, is in some quite curious way fast becoming a CP institution, and therefore gets my '5' vote! This weekend: Tomorrow I am going to Mike's stag bash in Bristol, a morning of shooting at poor innocent orange clay discs, and an afternoon of go-kart mayhem. Sunday, a 30 minute 'check ride' in a Piper PA28 from Tollerton, should be fun - I may go for a longer pootle if the time and weather allows. And then sitting in the sun in the garden admiring the efforts of my new Head Gardener! Finally: one does not 'pilot' an aircraft, one 'flies' it. IMVHO! Tallo Ho!

 I still would love to get one; one of these days. And yes, it's typically riding a (motor)bike, for the already stated reason of sitting on top. I'm off to another wedding tonight. The 4th one in the past 10 weeks. :) Should be fun if the rain holds off. Then tomorrow I'm going to a ribbon cutting for a new walking trail. A few miles of old rails were converted into a walking path downtown. Tomorrow night I'm visiting some friends for dinner and drinks, and Sunday I'll do some yardwork and maybe work on some personal coding stuff. BW

Saturday I'll probably be recovering from last night (rugby game and then out till 3am drinking. I've never been hungover AND battered at the same time) and this evening (battle of the bands event.) Sunday I am off to Cork the whole day to watch a game of Hurling with 40,000 mad Irishmen. Monday is a holiday and I'll be finding a quiet spot near a beach with the girlfriend and a picnic.

I don't know how trains work over there, but here it would be kinda hard to steer one. ;P Here "train drivers" are called engineers.

It's still called steering though. Also train wheels do have limited steering capability. regards, Paul Watson Ireland FeedHenry needs you

There goes my lame attempt at joke. :-O Suprising little factoid about train steering though.

Shooting what? I have a Hi-Power rifle match and I am taking my latest M1-Garand out for the match. Probably also take the Ar-15 out for some plinking after that.

Clay Pigeons this weekend.  On Sunday there's a qualifier for the Welsh team, at the moment I'm joint first in the rankings.  Might do a bit of rat shooting as well with my high power air-rifle.  Just in the process of putting in for my firearms certificate (things are more regulated over here in Britain than in the States (that's my understanding anyway)).

You know you're a Land Rover owner when the best route from point A to point B is through the mud. Ed
